Web Desk: Facebook admitted that using social media can be bad for your health because it causes depression.

A recent research revealed that technological usage increases depression in teen. But can improve well-being if people interact with their close friends online.

The research was conducted by Facebook’s Director of research David Ginsberg and research scientist Moira Burke. In this research students of Michigan university assigned to read Facebook for 10 minutes, those who read Facebook’s feeds were in worse mood at the end of the day than those who post or talk to friends on the platform.

It also says that sending or receiving direct messages or post and comments on one’s timeline boost psychological well-being.
