WEB DESK: Padmavati, probably this year's giant release in Bollywood, is making headlines for quite some time. Earlier, the attack by extremists on the sets of the film highlighted it, later the first look of Deepika Padukone as Queen Padmavati. Everything is making fans impatient. 

The fans were still in astonishment after seeing Deepika in a queen's attire and the makers has released Shahid Kapoor's first look as a Maharawal Ratan Singh - who will be appearing as queen's husband. And, it is safe to say that his strong persona as a Maharawal Ratan Singh is mind blowing.

While speaking about his character, the Rangoon said,"When you are playing a King, you need to have a certain personality. At that time, the people used to not be very skinny and lean, so you need to have a manly personality. Basically for that, and to carry those outfits also, Sanjay sir wants me to be a little muscular and a little full. But I will be gaining weight in terms of muscle and not in terms of fat. This is because I am playing the character of a warrior. The Rajput kings had very strong personalities."

As per reports, the 36-year-old will fight the vicious Alauddin Khilji aka Ranveer Singh in the flick. Padmavati will hit screens on 1st December 2017.
