WEB DESK: The topic nepotism has been controversial debate in Indian film industry since Kangana Ranaut called karan Johar a “Flagbearer of Nepotism”.

Recently, Karan, Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan threw funny comments on Kangana and Nepotism at IIFA Awards 2017. The comments were offended by many, as a result, Karan and Varun apologized Kangana.

Saif wrote open letter in a leading daily to apologize to Kangana. He also interpreted his different perception over Nepotism and blamed Media for it. He quoted, "The real flagbearer of nepotism, I’d say is the media. Look at how they treat Taimur, Shahid’s daughter Misha or even Shah Rukh’s son AbRam. They photograph them and hype them up to be the next big thing and the child has no choice. From a young age, they have to deal with being celebrities, which they don’t really deserve before they can even speak or talk, leave alone understand what is happening."

He spoke that media includes its son Taimur Ali Khan news as leading. "Taimur gets written about like he’s Elvis before he’s even born. And so now when he’s growing up, it’s going to be really tough for us as parents to keep a level head on his shoulders and tell him, 'No, you are nothing. You haven’t achieved anything until you’ve done it on your own'."

"When he’s 18, the press themselves will launch him. So where does the nepotism start? The producer is just an opportunist saying 'okay, let me market this'.", he continued.
