WEB DESK: According to media reports, Dangal, a blockbuster of 2016 has earned Rs 2000 crore across the globe. However, the reports have denied as it currently stands at Rs 1864 crore. 

It was a sports biopic which turned out to be a huge success. It has become highest grossing Indian plus, the film has done exceptional business in China as well.

Moreover, about its worldwide business, Dangal’s spokesperson clarified that,“We have been reading a lot of reports saying that Dangal has crossed 2000 crs worldwide. Just to set the record straight, we want to clarify that Dangal’s official worldwide gross collection figure as of Thursday is 1864 crores.”

The spokesperson further added,“We are very happy that our film has been so successful, and what is of most value for Aamir Khan and the entire team of Dangal is the immense love the film has got from the audience across the globe. We are looking forward for the film to release in other untapped territories to reach more audience.”

On the work front, Aamir Khan will next be seen in Thugs of Hindustan along with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Also, Khan will be reuniting with the actress from Dangal, Fatima Sana Shaikh for his next flick.
