Why our ears ring ?

According to Sean Kinden, a clinical audiologist in Gander, Newfoundland,"Your ears are telling you something when they're ringing and it is their way of letting us know that something is not working quite the it should be." This ringing also known as Tinnitus. Moreover, it impacts on both adults and youth. The ring in the ears, however, could be louder or light. In any case, don't wait for more than two weeks and pay a visit to doctor immediately.

Loud noise

Loud sounds are the primary reasons behind tinnitus. Also, people working in noisy places or if they are habitual of listening to music in louder volume, usually have higher risk of ringing. Here Kinden adds,"If you're out jogging, set your music volume at half," and wear hearing protection, even when mowing the lawn."

Go for cleaning

In most cases, presence of natural ear wax which is also called cerumen, block ears and make us hear different sounds that aren't really there. However, Kinden suggests,"Just have the wax removed by a physician. Once it comes out, the ringing is gone."

Abnormal bone growth

This ringing can also be happen due to hereditary disorder which is also called otosclerosis, it causes abnormal bone growth in the middle of ear. Also, this abnormal bone growth can lead to hearing loss and tinnitus. Hence, it is suggested that if you have family history of otosclerosis you might encounter it but its treatment is available.
