&lt;p&gt;Thinking and memory skills were most improved when people exercised the heart and muscles on a regular basis, a review of 39 studies found.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This remained true in those who already showed signs of cognitive decline.&lt;/p&gt;
