WEB DESK: Chilled soda with over hot pizza or even with double cheese burger sounds perfect. The soda, any coloured goes well with meals. It is impossible to dine without it. But there's something alarming.Â

The soda isn't healthy at all and the case is same with diet soda. There are many studies that suggest to quit it as it will only make you gain weight. The soda is nothing but sugar and artificial flavor and it has no nutrition values.

These drinks aren't hydrating but they can cause high blood sugar and osteoporosis and other health problems.

Also, in Alzheimer's and Dementia a new research published which states fructose in sugary drinks or beverages might damage brains.

-Epyk

Boston University claimed in this regard after using data from Framingham Heart Study (FHS) that people who drink soda on daily basis have poorer memory.

Lastly, another research published in Journal Stroke suggests that regular soda drinkers or diet soda consumers may develop stroke and dementia as compared to those who did not consume it regularly.

A professor of neurology Sudha Seshadri from Boston University School says,“These studies are not the be-all and end-all, but it’s strong data and a very strong suggestion and i looks like there is not very much of an upside to having sugary drinks, and substituting the sugar with artificial sweeteners doesn’t seem to help.”
