ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has approved the grant of eight point three million rupees to forty deserving artists under Artists Welfare Fund.

He was chairing the quarterly meeting of the Steering Committee of Artists Welfare Fund.

The President said that the artists are that valuable asset of the society. He said that artists, poets and writers are ambassadors of our culture and they play their role for the promotion of the culture.

The president said helping the needy people is the social and moral obligation of the community.—Radio Pakistan
