KARACHI: Three alleged dacoits were killed in a reported police encounter in the jurisdiction of the Ferozabad Police Station.

This was stated by the spokesman of the Sindh Police here on Tuesday.

He said that for appreciable performance in the fight against crimes, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, has announced a cash prize of Rs. 200,000 and commendation certificate for the police team of Ferozabad Police Station.

The spokesman said that the DSP Ferozabad in a report pointed out that in the wake of an information at Madadgar 15 pertaining to a dacoity at a house on Tipu Sultan Road here, the police responded promptly.

In the ensuing encounter with the police, three alleged dacoits were killed.

Three pistols and a car was also recovered from their possession, it was further pointed out.—APP
