ISLAMABAD: Missing Varsity professor and human rights activist/ blogger Salman Haider returned home late Friday night, Aaj News reported. 

According to the Police officials, the activist is currently with his family. However, they did not delve into further details.

Salman Haider who is also known as a poet, human rights activist and professor at the Fatima Jinnah University, went missing on January 6.

A First Information Report for Salman's kidnapping was registered at the Lohi Ber police station by his brother, Zeeshan Haider, under Section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Families and supporters of missing activist staged several protests across the country demanding his recovery.
