KARACHI: One of the Khanani and Kalia group's director Javed Khanani allegedly commits suicide here on Sunday as he jumped off from an under-construction building located in Mohammad Ali Society, said police. 

According to Senior police official, Javed jumped off from the 8th floor of an under-construction building.

Later he was rushed to the nearest hospital where doctors officially pronounced him dead, the police official added.

The money exchange group has been under scrutiny by FIA since 2008 due to laundering and fraud allegations.

The company was banned years ago and their offices were sealed by the FIA. However, they were released due to lack of evidence– but their licenses were revoked.

Reports also suggest that the family members of deceased will not file a case neither they would allow the dead body to be examine to confirm the cause of death.
