ISLAMABAD: COAS International Squash Championship, 2016 concluded here today at Mushaf Squash Complex, Aaj News reported.

According to reports, Championship was organized by Army Sports Directorate in collaboration with Pakistan Squash Federation. This Championship has been revived this year after a suspension for 8 years in a bid to woo international sports and contribute to building a healthy society.

Omar Abdul Meguid, from Egypt won the championship by defeating Ivan Yuen of Malaysia in three straight games.

COAS Gen Raheel Sharif was the chief guest. COAS distributed trophies and prizes among the winners.

Besides Pakistan, world ranking players from Egypt, France, Hong Kong, Jordan, Malaysia and USA also participated in the week long championship.

COAS Congratulated the winners and organizers of the tournament. Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman was also present on the occasion.
