Jaya Bachchan started her acting career in 1963 when she appeared in a Bangali movie, ‘Guddi’ was her first bollywood movie.

Mrs Bachchan is celebrating her 67^th birthday; she started her career in 1963.

She appeared with Amitabh Bachchan in movies like ‘Bansi Birju’ and ‘Zanjeer’ before the couple got married.

Her successive movies include ‘Abhimaan’, ‘Chupkay Chupkay’ and ‘Silsila’. The audience also appreciated her character in movies like ‘Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Ghum’ and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’.

The actress was presented with Life time Achievement Award and the Indian Civilan Award Padma Shiri.
