ISLAMABAD:-The senior most judge of the Supreme Court, after the chief Justice, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk  took oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan on Friday.

The oath was administered to him by Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja in a simple but dignified ceremony held here in the Supreme Court building.

Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk will act as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan during the absence of Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Chief Justice of Pakistan who has proceeded to perform Umrah.

The ceremony was attended by Judges of the Supreme Court, Attorney General for Pakistan, President supreme court Bar Association Kamran Murtaza, Senior Lawyers and Law Officers of the Federation and Provinces, officials of Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan and Federal Judicial Academy.
