QUETTA: Some unknown men buffeted 24 inch diameter Gas pipeline in Dera Murad Khan on Friday.

According to the police sources, the blast was done by some anonymous men. Due to this blast, a part of the Gas line in Notaal was severely damaged, which suspended gas supply in several districts of Balochistan and the restive area including provincial capital Quetta.

According to the sources and witnesses; after the blast there was uncontrollable fire which took place due to methane gas coming from the Gas pipeline.

The fire was doused by the team engineers of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) within no time and the repair work was started.

The law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.

The officials expect the gas supply to be restored soon.
