PESHAWAR: Three members of a family were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Hangu district in the wee hours of Friday, police said.

The incident occurred at Kahi area where assailants entered in the house of Khan Wazir and sprayed volley of bullets at his family. As a result, Khan Wazir, his wife Mehnaz Bibi and daughter Yamin Babi were killed on the spot. Later, the accused also put the house of the victims on fire.

The residents rushed to the blazed house and extinguished the fire. Police have registered a case.
