CJ further added that the political system within the province would only operate effectively if the people of the province are guaranteed security and peace within the region; he also said that the current unrest in the area is challenging the authority of the government.

"If the officials do not show any interest in this, an order would be passed; compliance with the constitution and providing basic necessities to the people is our basic motto," stated the CJ.

With respect to Balochistan unrest and missing persons case, the CJ ordered Inspector General (IG) of Frontier Constabulary (FC) to appear in Court tomorrow. The case was heard under the headship of CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry, Justice Jawad S. Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif were also part of the three-member bench.

During the hearing, the operation of the provincial officials was highly criticized. "You are still investigating the way it used to be during 1940," Justic Khilji told CCPO Quetta.

The CJ stated that officials should take action over the unrest within the province and that action should not only be taken once the SC issues an order.

Chief Secretary Balochistan, Babar Yaqoob admitted that peace situation had worsened in the area with the Deputy Commissioner being threatened by banned movements, to leave the area. He further added that SC's interest with respect to Balochistan might help in improving the situation.

The CJ also ordered FC's counsel to present all the missing persons within the Court.
