KARACHI: Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry stated that stature is not the element that helps in achieving justice, rather it is equal for all. CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry made this statement while addressing lawyers who were issued practicing licenses on Saturday.

CJ stated that constitution is above the Parliament and that justice is equal for all. He added that there would be no compromise on free and fair judiciary system and that justice is equal for all. "The Chief Executive of the country had to vacate his post with respect to contempt of Court charges," elaborated Iftikhar Chaudhry.

Iftikhar Chaudry added that Article 2(A) guarantees the liberty of judiciary and the Supreme Court is the highest ranked Court of the country.

"Protecting the liberty of judiciary is the responsibility of the lawyer, judges and the citizens of Pakistan," said the CJ.
