As an initial step 175 officers have been removed from feild posting because of the inability in getting rid of their mounted bellies. Suspended officers include  Elite Force Lahore's 8 female and 60 male officers. Where as from Sialkot and Narawal over 100 officers have been removed.

According to officers, data from the entire province have been received and within next few days they will be able to produce actual figure of how many 'pot-bellied' officers are there altogether. The decision about allowing them more time or removal from field duty will be taken by IG Punjab Police.
