With his devotional and ecstatic rhetorical style of performance always left a profound impact on his listeners.</p> <p>Other than few in Urdu his songs were usually in Sindhi, which were always revolving around Sufism unconditional devotion having an aura of simplicity. For his services to folk music and culture, Allan Faqeer was awarded 'Pride of Performance' by Government of Pakistan, the Shahbaz Award, the Shah Latif Award and Kandhkot Award.
