The federal cabinet has devised a new bill of law which will protect assembly members who have dual-nationalities from disqualification and will enable them to participate in the upcoming general elections legally, Aaj News reported.

The bill was approved by the federal cabinet today on Wednesday and will be presented in the National Assembly.

If the bill is passed in the National Assembly it will become a law which might be used to revoke the disqualification of the members of National and Provincial assemblies, imposed by the  Supreme Court of Pakistan.
