      <title>Renowned Scholar, TV host Obaidullah Baig passes away</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img class="align-left" title="baig" src="http://www.aaj.tv/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/baig.jpg" alt="" width="325" height="200" /&gt;KARACHI: Eminent scholar, writer and television host Obaidullah Baig passed away in Karachi Friday morning.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The veteran was a famous Urdu writer, novelist, columnist and media expert from Karachi, private news channel reported.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Obaidullah Baig teamed up with Iftikhar Arif in 1970s and then with Ghazi Salahuddin and Quraish Pur in 1990s and won renown for the famous quiz show "Kasauti".&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He was awarded a 'Pride of Performance' (August 14, 2008) for his achievements in the Pakistani media.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He is survived by a wife and three daughters and his funeral will be held today after Friday prayers at Madina Masjid, Talwar II-Clifton, Karachi, family sources said.&lt;br /&gt;
