President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a session of the National Assembly on Friday, Aaj News reported.

The presidency notified the press that Mr. Zardari has called for the lower house of Parliament for a meeting at Friday evening.

It is speculated that the new Prime Minister of Pakistan would be announced in Friday's National Assembly Session.

Ealier, the Supreme Court had disqualified PM Yousuf Raza Gilani from premiership in the wake of his refusal to write the letter to Swiss administration which would have re-opened long standing corruption cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
