The deceased identified as Sajjad, was a native of Pak Pathan, who worked as a constable in Lahore's  police's investigation department.

Police constable Sajjad was allegedly killed in a police encounter, on Tuesday evening around 8:30 pm, near Lakshmi Chowk while his accomplice fled the scene and is still on the run.

The police have reason to believe that Sajjad's accomplice is also a police personnel.

SHO Gawalmandi, Abdul Sattar was injured during the encounter and later taken to the hospital where doctors said that he is in stable condition and out of danger.
