Only available in a few international markets, “The Lorax” has earned an estimated $1.8 million overseas.</p> <p>Although it struggled domestically in its opening weekend, the film could still become a hit overseas. It opens in China on Friday, March 16th and April 13th in Japan.</p> <p>Other new films in wide release also seemed to struggle with Open Road’s horror film Silent House earning an estimated $7 million and Eddie Murphy’s comedy A Thousand Words taking in an estimated $6.4 million.</p> <p>Available at 374 locations, Roadside Attractions' Friends With Kids earned an estimated $2.2 million.
