M A Zuberi is widely considered the pioneer of economic journalism in Pakistan.

Those who have worked with him and enjoyed his company at different levels would confirm that he was intellectually curious, highly motivated, and unflinchingly committed to effecting a positive change in the country's policymaking process.

Through his editorials that he wrote for over six decades, he sought to foster the highest standards of scholarly inquiry while addressing issues of major political, cultural, and economic concern.

He has bequeathed to us a legacy whose value and relevance the changes of time cannot diminish.

Mr Mohammad Ahmed Zuberi worked as an Assistant Editor in the Dawn Newspaper and also known as the founder member of Council Of Pakistan newspaper's editors (CPNE).
Zuberi's Sahib's success in establishing the 'Business Recorder' as a mainstream paper in Pakistan was no accident.

It was a tribute to his dedication to a cause he believed in and it was a result of both his professionalism and hard work.

He analysed very astutely who his audience would be.

Public servants, lawyers, tax advisors, business and trading houses all became his regular clientele.

With time he established a regular following also among lay readers who took an interest in business developments in Pakistan.

He took great care to follow government's decisions on tax, banking and financial issues.
