Maulana and his son were shot dead by unknown assailants on Saturday at New Karachi area provincial metropolis. The assailants, later, managed to flee the scene after the tragic incident.

The funeral prayers of the deceased were offered following the Zohr and the two were laid to rest later at Sakhi Hassan graveyard.

Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Madni was a prominent religious scholar and the founder of Madrassah Mehmoodiah. He was also the head of Madrassah Taleem-ul-Quran.
