      <title>Mumtaz Qadri confesses to killing Taseer</title>

&lt;p&gt;Mumtaz Qadri has recorded a statement to committing the crime before a magistrate in Rawalpindi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the statement, recorded under section 164, Qadri said that he made the conspiracy to kill Salman Taseer in Rawalipindi where he came to know that Taseer wanted to reform blasphemy laws.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He said that he killed Salman Taseer on his own, police said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the light of confessional statement, police has started search for two people.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Qadri was not due in court until Tuesday, but officials said he was brought to a closed hearing in Rawalpindi a day early after officially confessing to the crime, infuriating defence lawyers who said they were not invited.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The next hearing has been scheduled for January 24.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Governor Punjab Salman Taseer died in an assassination attempt by his own bodyguard in Islamabad on 4th January, 2011.&lt;/p&gt;
