He was 82.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The funeral prayers of Naseerullah Babar will be offered today in Nowshera.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On 19 August 2008, Naseerullah Babar suffered a mild stroke and was admitted to a hospital. He recovered and returned home in November 2008.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Major General (retd) Naseerullah Babar was born in 1928 in Ismaeil Khel near Akora Khattak Nowshera, Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Babar was a senior central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He served as Governor of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from 1975-1977.&lt;/p&gt;
