Replying to a question during the press conference of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah here at a the Circuit House on Saturday night, Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza said that claims were being made by some quarters that Lyari Aman Committee had links with the PPP, which, he said, was based on misperception.

Lyari Aman Committee is a group of the persons having representation of different political parties and notables which is working for the welfare of people of their own area by raising their issues.

Like other organizations of the society, the presence of criminal elements in Lyari Aman Group could not be ruled out. However, the government has no mercy for criminals who are involved in a bloodbath of innocent people, he said. The government is taking action against the criminals irrespective of any political affiliation, Zulfiqar Mirza added.
