According to sources, Director Mira Nair is planning to make a film based on Mohsin Hamid's second novel, The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The film will be shot in Pakistan.

Shahid Kapoor has not signed the contract yet but showed interest in reading the script and also is excited to work with Mira.

The story revolves around a Pakistani man who lets go of his life of fame in America.
